PROPER USE OF TOOL
The performance of your Swirl-Off tool is dependent on the power it receives from your disc sander, grinder, polisher, or drill motor. As a general rule, the higher the RPM the faster the material will be removed. The tool will give it's utmost performance when a disc sander with speeds from 1500 to 4000 RPM are used.
Do not press the tool too much on the surface to be cleaned as the cutters will do the job. Hold the tool flat on the surface, it is not a grinding tool. Wear safety goggles and a dust mask.
Shown descaling.
SAFE USE OF SCARIFIERS
Works best at a slower speed under 6,000 RPM on sanders and variable speed grinders.
Be sure that the Swirl-Off unit is properly positioned on power tool. Retainer cup must be tightly secured by locking nut.
Wear goggles, dust mask, and other personal protective equipment at all times.
Do not run over cables and hoses with the cutter assembly.
Turn off the power supply when doing repair or maintenance on the machine.
Follow all safety recommendations power unit manufacturer suggests.
Replace cutters when worn. Before operation, make sure that the complete cutter set is properly installed.
When working under water or near water use only pneumatic or hydrallic powered tools. For underwater use, 1,000 to 2,000 RPM is suggested (Do not use electric tools in or near water).
Do not use in flammable or combustible environment.
